Hello there!I used to be a full time VFX artist working as compositor, 3D artist, producer and supervisor.
These days I am mostly home-bound due to health reasons, so my focus is mostly on tending to my family as the resident cook and doing the occasional remote work for film and TV projects.

Meine Ärzte taugen irgendwie nichts
Ich muss leider immer wieder aufs Neue feststellen wie wenig das Ärzteteam bei meinem Hausarzt taugt.
Das letzte Mal hab ich fast meinen Arm verloren weil sie in Ruhe zugesehen haben wie sich ein Tennisball großer Abszess gebildet hat und sie über mehrere Wochen „beobachtet“ haben wie es sich entwickelt. Bis ich dann einen Chirurgen eingeschaltet habe der sofort eine OP angesetzt hat.
Gestern bin ich dann wegen eines leicht schmerzhaften Knotens hin. Zwei Ärzte tasten mich ab und dann heißt es: „Ich kann jetzt nichts ertasten, aber wenn Sie da einen Knoten fühlen (den übrigens meine Frau ohne Probleme fühlt), dann sollten sie das ernst nehmen.“ Ach echt? Warum bin ich wohl deswegen beim Arzt??

It is exhausting
People have no idea how much energy and focus it costs to live with chronic pain.
How I need to muster every ounce of focus to not scratch myself all over while I am talking with you. Or how every step hurts and simply walking around the house is so taxing that I want to lie down after a few steps. And then I need to keep up with the energy of my two kids and try to keep smiling for them.
It is exhausting.
But I am not giving up.
